sketchbook begun


OK, I've done the first page in the sketchbook, which happens to be page 18. I actually began on page 16, but messed it up, so I moved onto page 18. I'll gesso over page 16 and do another project there.
If you understand this, please don't post your insights. I want every reader to have a chance to reason it out on their own.

sketchbook update

Donna and I had a discussion about the nature of the sketchbook for the Art House Coop project. The web site says the book must remain its original size, but pictures of past projects show big fat sketchbooks. I concluded that the rule refers to the height and width only and anything goes WRT the thickness.

Anyway, based on Donna's comments on her blog about bleed through, I gessoed the middle two pages to see if that helps. I'll report on this in a later post.
